Vine Visit Ltd launched!

Last night saw the launch of Vine Visit Ltd, providing ‘high quality holidays and short breaks for wine lovers’. Helen and I had a wonderful time at the Biscuit Factory, that wonderful art space in Newcastle, welcoming around 200 guests to our event. Having launched a few books, starting a real company was an extra bonus, the nearest a man gets to giving birth I’m told.

We allowed folk to wander around with a glass of one of Pierre Becht’s Alsace varietals or a red from the Duras, all supplied by NH Wines, free to admire the art work and installations, before brief speeches and live music from the a capella Scherzo ensemble. The brochure had arrived that afternoon from the printers, looking resplendent with the sketches of our local vine visit artist in residence Cyril Winskell. So, all in all, a great launch for a great company in a great venue...
